Claude Code

Anthropic-style tools (Claude Code)

Base URL: https://api.bidgrow.shop (root, no /v1). Claude Code adds /v1/messages itself.

1. Set environment variables

macOS / Linux (bash, zsh). Add to ~/.zshrc or ~/.bashrc to keep:

2. Or use settings.json (all systems)

File: ~/.claude/settings.json (Windows: %USERPROFILE%\.claude\settings.json). Do not put your key in a project's committed .claude/settings.json.

3. Choose models

Claude Code also uses a small/fast model for background tasks (titles, summaries). If your key only allows some models, point all of these at a model listed on your key at https://bidgrow.shop/check:

4. Run

Inside, run /status: you should see your base URL and "Auth token". If it asks you to log in, the variables were not picked up (open a new terminal, or use settings.json). If you were logged in with a claude.ai account before, run /logout.

Notes

Use ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN (sent as a Bearer token). Use ANTHROPIC_API_KEY only if the token variable gives a 401.
If you see 400 errors about unknown fields or context_management, add CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_EXPERIMENTAL_BETAS=1.
Optional: CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_NONESSENTIAL_TRAFFIC=1 stops background calls to other hosts (also disables auto-update).
Your key activates on the first request, and the validity countdown starts then. Check usage at https://bidgrow.shop/check.

Verification status

Variable names and behaviour verified against the official Claude Code gateway docs (code.claude.com/docs/en/llm-gateway-connect). Not verified: whether your specific model names support every Claude Code feature (thinking, tools) on this gateway.
